Questions from Ashurst brands
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We check against both sets of rules. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so health claims must be on the EU register and the address must work for that market. Let us know where your products go and we’ll cover both.
What’s the lead time for pouches to Ashurst?
Printed pouches take longer than labels: we confirm the lead time with your quote, then delivery to Ashurst is usually the next working day after dispatch.
Do you only work with Ashurst businesses?
No. We take orders online from anywhere in the UK, so your location doesn’t matter. Ashurst orders go out by tracked delivery to SO40.
How many pouches do I need to order?
Minimums depend on the pouch size and finish, and we quote them per design. For a small first run, label stock pouches instead.
Who checks supplement labels in Hampshire?
Supplement labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Hampshire, overseen nationally by the Food Standards Agency. If you want assured advice, consider a Primary Authority partnership with a council.

Printed pouches look more premium than a labelled stock pouch and save the time of applying labels. Digital printing means short runs per design, so you don’t need to commit to tens of thousands of units. Still testing a product? Begin with labels on stock pouches and move to printed pouches once it sells. Resealable zips, clear windows and tear notches are all available, with matt, gloss or soft-touch finishes.

Rules in England
Labelling law for supplements from Ashurst
Supplements sold from Ashurst must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, overseen by the Food Standards Agency. Locally, food labelling is enforced by the council’s trading standards or environmental health team.
The same label can be sold in Scotland and Wales, because the supplement rules match across Great Britain.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, and then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.
