The five things that change the price
- Quantity. Setup and proofing are spread across the run, so the price per label falls fast up to about 2,500.
- Size. You pay for the material. Shaving 10 mm off a wraparound can save 8% or more.
- Material. Paper costs less than PP, but it can scuff or lift on tubs, and a reprint costs more than the saving.
- Finish. Foil and soft-touch add roughly 12–25%.
- Number of designs. Digital print lets you mix SKUs in one order, so a range costs far less than separate orders.
How to spend less
- Order one larger run of your best seller and short runs of new products.
- Combine flavours or strengths into one order.
- Keep foil for the brand name, not the whole label.
- Get the compliance right first. A reprint after a label is challenged doubles the cost of that run.
