About
Who checks your labels
Our guides and compliance checks are written and reviewed by the people who read supplement labels every working day.
Our compliance and print team
Every label is read before it goes to print by people who check supplement labels every working day. Team profiles are coming soon.
How we check a label
- We read the copy against the Food Supplements Regulations for the nation you sell in and the food information rules.
- We check every nutrient amount, unit and %NRV, and look up each claim on the GB (or EU) nutrition and health claims register.
- We check legibility on the to-size proof: x-height, contrast and placement.
- You get a written report marking each point fine, advised or must fix.
Sources we use
- The GB nutrition and health claims register (GOV.UK)
- Food Standards Agency guidance on food supplements
- NHS and Department of Health and Social Care advice on vitamins and minerals
- Retained food information and food supplement legislation
Corrections
Rules change. If you spot something out of date in a guide, email hello@supplementlabelprinting.co.uk and we’ll review it within a week. Each guide shows the date it was last updated.
Send us your artwork. We’ll check it before we print it.
Every quote includes a regulatory read-through of your label copy. You get a written list of fixes before anything goes to press.
