Questions from Bowburn brands
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Bowburn?
Bowburn is in England, so the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003 apply, alongside the general food information rules. Health claims must come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
Can I add a zip or window to the pouch?
You can choose: zips, tear notches, hang holes and windows, in a matt, gloss or soft-touch finish.
Who enforces food labelling in County Durham?
Supplement labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for County Durham, with national oversight from the Food Standards Agency. If you want assured advice, consider a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
What’s the lead time for pouches to Bowburn?
Pouches take longer to make than labels: we confirm the lead time with your quote, then delivery to Bowburn is usually the next working day after dispatch.
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We check against both sets of rules. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so health claims must be on the EU register and the address must be in NI or the EU. Tell us where you sell and we’ll cover both.
Printed pouches for Bowburn brands
Printed pouches look more premium than a labelled stock pouch and save the time of applying labels. Digital printing means short runs per design, so you don’t need to commit to tens of thousands of units. Resealable zips, clear windows and tear notches are all available, in a matt, gloss or soft-touch finish. Not ready for a printed run? Start with labels on stock pouches and move to printed pouches once it sells.
