Supplement labelling rules for Broom Hill
Any food supplement sold from Broom Hill must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, overseen by the Food Standards Agency. At a local level, food labelling is enforced by council trading standards or environmental health staff.
The same label can be sold in Scotland and Wales, since the supplement rules are the same across Great Britain.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, and then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

Questions from Broom Hill brands
Can I add a zip or window to the pouch?
Yes: resealable zips, tear notches, hang holes and clear windows, in a matt, gloss or soft-touch finish.
What if I sell in Northern Ireland too?
We check against both sets of rules. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so health claims must be on the EU register and the address must be in NI or the EU. Tell us where you sell and we’ll check the label for each market.
Do I need to be based in Broom Hill to order?
No. We take orders online from anywhere in the UK, so it makes no difference where you’re based. Broom Hill orders go out by tracked courier to DY9.
Can I see a sample before ordering?
Yes. Request a sample pack and we’ll post it to your Broom Hill address, so you can feel the materials and finishes before you order.
What’s the lead time for pouches to Broom Hill?
Printed pouches take longer than labels: we confirm the lead time with your quote, then delivery to Broom Hill is usually the next working day after dispatch.
