Questions from Butterley brands
Do you offer recyclable pouches?
Mono-material pouches are available, designed for recycling where collection exists. Check the specification before you make any claim on pack.
Do you send samples?
Yes. Request a sample pack and we’ll post it to your Butterley address, showing our materials and finishes before you order.
What’s the lead time for pouches to Butterley?
Printed pouches take longer than labels: we confirm the lead time with your quote, then delivery to Butterley is usually the next working day after dispatch.
Who enforces food labelling in Derbyshire?
Food labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Derbyshire, overseen nationally by the Food Standards Agency. For advice councils must respect, you can set up a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We can check for both. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must be in NI or the EU. Tell us where you sell and we’ll check the label for each market.
Printed pouches for Butterley brands
Printed pouches look more premium than a labelled stock pouch and save the time of applying labels. Digital printing means short runs per design, so you don’t need to commit to tens of thousands of units. Still testing a product? Start with labels on stock pouches and switch later. Resealable zips, clear windows and tear notches can all be added, in a matt, gloss or soft-touch finish.

Rules in England
Supplement labelling rules for Butterley
Any food supplement sold from Butterley must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, under the oversight of the Food Standards Agency. At a local level, food labelling is enforced by council trading standards or environmental health staff.
One label works across England, Scotland and Wales, since the supplement rules are the same across Great Britain.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, and then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.
