Rules in England
Labelling law for supplements from Claygate

Printed pouches for Claygate brands
Printed pouches look more premium than a labelled stock pouch and save the time of applying labels. Digital printing means short runs per design, so you don’t need to commit to tens of thousands of units. Resealable zips, clear windows and tear notches can all be added, with matt, gloss or soft-touch finishes. Still testing a product? Begin with labels on stock pouches and move to printed pouches once it sells.

Questions from Claygate brands
Can pouches have a zip and window?
Yes: zips, tear notches, hang holes and windows, in a matt, gloss or soft-touch finish.
How long do printed pouches take to reach Claygate?
Pouches take longer to make than labels: your quote includes the lead time, then delivery to Claygate is usually the next working day after dispatch.
Who enforces food labelling in Surrey?
Food labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Surrey, overseen nationally by the Food Standards Agency. If you want assured advice, you can set up a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
What if I sell in Northern Ireland too?
We check against both sets of rules. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so health claims must be on the EU register and the address must work for that market. Let us know where your products go and we’ll check the label for each market.
Do I need to be based in Claygate to order?
No. We take orders online from anywhere in the UK, so your location doesn’t matter. Claygate deliveries go out by tracked delivery to KT10.
