Rules in England
Label rules that apply in Coaley
Products you sell from Coaley must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, under the oversight of the Food Standards Agency. Locally, food labelling is enforced by the local authority’s trading standards or environmental health officers for Gloucestershire.
You can sell the same label in Scotland and Wales, because the supplement rules match across Great Britain.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, and then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

Printed pouches for Coaley brands
Printed pouches look more premium than a labelled stock pouch and save the time of applying labels. Digital printing means short runs per design, so you don’t need to commit to tens of thousands of units. Still testing a product? Start with labels on stock pouches and move to printed pouches once it sells. Zips, windows, tear notches and hang holes can all be added, in a matt, gloss or soft-touch finish.

Common questions in Coaley
Do I need to be based in Coaley to order?
No. We work online and deliver across the UK, so it makes no difference where you’re based. Coaley deliveries go out by tracked delivery to GL11.
What if I sell in Northern Ireland too?
We can check for both. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must be in NI or the EU. Let us know where your products go and we’ll cover both.
Can I see a sample before ordering?
Yes. Ask for a sample pack and we’ll post it to your Coaley address, so you can feel the materials and finishes.
What’s the lead time for pouches to Coaley?
Pouches take longer to make than labels: your quote includes the lead time, then delivery to Coaley is usually the next working day after dispatch.
Can pouches have a zip and window?
Yes: zips, tear notches, hang holes and windows, in matt, gloss or soft-touch.
