Custom supplement pouches for Distington brands
Custom printed pouches for Distington supplement brands that have outgrown labelled stock pouches.
Printed pouches for Distington brands
When a product is selling steadily, a printed pouch is often the next step from labels. We print your design directly onto the pouch, with the same compliance check as our labels. Resealable zips, clear windows and tear notches are all available, with matt, gloss or soft-touch finishes. Not ready for a printed run? Begin with labels on stock pouches and move to printed pouches once it sells.

Rules in England
Label rules that apply in Distington
Any food supplement sold from Distington must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, overseen by the Food Standards Agency. At a local level, food labelling is enforced by the local authority’s trading standards or environmental health officers.
The same label can be sold in Scotland and Wales, as Great Britain shares one set of supplement rules.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, then review your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

Distington questions
Are the pouches recyclable?
We offer mono-material pouches, designed for recycling where collection exists. Check the spec before putting a recycling claim on the pack.
Who checks supplement labels in Cumbria?
Food labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Cumbria, overseen nationally by the Food Standards Agency. For advice councils must respect, consider a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
Can I see a sample before ordering?
Yes, we can. Ask for a sample pack and we’ll post it to your Distington address, showing our materials and finishes before you order.
How many pouches do I need to order?
It depends on the pouch size and finish, and we quote them per design. For small quantities, label stock pouches instead.
What’s the lead time for pouches to Distington?
Printed pouches take longer than labels: your quote includes the lead time, then delivery to Distington is usually the next working day after dispatch.
