Questions from Duthil brands
How many pouches do I need to order?
Minimums depend on the pouch size and finish, and we quote them per design. For small quantities, use labels on stock pouches.
Do you send samples?
Yes. Request a sample pack and we’ll send it to you in Duthil, showing our materials and finishes.
Who enforces food labelling in Highland?
Supplement labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Highland, with national oversight from Food Standards Scotland. For advice councils must respect, you can set up a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
How long do printed pouches take to reach Duthil?
Printed pouches take longer than labels: your quote includes the lead time, then delivery to Duthil is usually two working days after dispatch.
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Duthil?
Duthil is in Scotland, so the Food Supplements (Scotland) Regulations 2003 cover your label, alongside the general food information rules. Health claims have to come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
Printed pouches for Duthil brands
Printed pouches look more premium than a labelled stock pouch and save the time of applying labels. Digital printing means short runs per design, so you don’t need to commit to tens of thousands of units. Not ready for a printed run? Start with labels on stock pouches and switch later. Resealable zips, clear windows and tear notches can all be added, with matt, gloss or soft-touch finishes.

Rules in Scotland
Labelling law for supplements from Duthil
Products you sell from Duthil must meet the Food Supplements (Scotland) Regulations 2003, under the oversight of Food Standards Scotland. At a local level, food labelling is enforced by council trading standards or environmental health staff for Highland.
Scotland has its own food regulator, but the supplement labelling rules match England and Wales, so one label works across Great Britain.
Begin with our label requirements checklist, then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.
