Five Ways questions
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Five Ways?
Five Ways is in England, so the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003 apply, alongside the general food information rules. Health claims have to come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
Do I need to be based in Five Ways to order?
No. We take orders online from anywhere in the UK, so your location doesn’t matter. Five Ways orders go out by tracked courier to CV35.
Who enforces food labelling in Warwickshire?
Food labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Warwickshire, overseen nationally by the Food Standards Agency. If you want assured advice, consider a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
What if I sell in Northern Ireland too?
We can check for both. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so health claims must be on the EU register and the address must be in NI or the EU. Let us know where your products go and we’ll check the label for each market.
Are the pouches recyclable?
Mono-material pouches are available, designed for recycling where collection exists. Check the spec before putting a recycling claim on the pack.
Printed pouches for Five Ways brands
When a product is selling steadily, a printed pouch is often the next step from labels. We print your design directly onto the pouch, with the same compliance check as our labels. Resealable zips, clear windows and tear notches can all be added, with matt, gloss or soft-touch finishes. Not ready for a printed run? Begin with labels on stock pouches and switch later.
