Rules in England
Label rules that apply in Greenhow
Products you sell from Greenhow must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, regulated nationally by the Food Standards Agency. In North Yorkshire, food labelling is enforced by the council’s trading standards or environmental health team.
One label works across England, Scotland and Wales, as Great Britain shares one set of supplement rules.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

Printed pouches for Greenhow brands
Printed pouches look more premium than a labelled stock pouch and save the time of applying labels. Digital printing means short runs per design, so you don’t need to commit to tens of thousands of units. Resealable zips, clear windows and tear notches are all available, in a matt, gloss or soft-touch finish. Not ready for a printed run? Start with labels on stock pouches and move to printed pouches once it sells.

Common questions in Greenhow
Do I need to be based in Greenhow to order?
No. We take orders online from anywhere in the UK, so it makes no difference where you’re based. Greenhow deliveries go out by tracked courier to HG3.
Can I add a zip or window to the pouch?
Yes: resealable zips, tear notches, hang holes and clear windows, in matt, gloss or soft-touch.
Do you send samples?
Yes. Request a sample pack and we’ll post it to your Greenhow address, so you can feel the materials and finishes.
How many pouches do I need to order?
Minimums depend on the pouch size and finish, and we quote them per design. For small quantities, use labels on stock pouches.
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We can check for both. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so health claims must be on the EU register and the address must be in NI or the EU. Tell us where you sell and we’ll check the label for each market.
