Common questions in Harpley
Do I need to be based in Harpley to order?
No. We take orders online from anywhere in the UK, so it makes no difference where you’re based. Harpley orders go out by tracked courier to PE31.
Can I see a sample before ordering?
Yes. Ask for a sample pack and we’ll post it to your Harpley address, showing our materials and finishes before you order.
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We check against both sets of rules. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so health claims must be on the EU register and the address must work for that market. Let us know where your products go and we’ll cover both.
What’s the minimum order for printed pouches?
It depends on the pouch size and finish, and we quote them per design. For small quantities, use labels on stock pouches.
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Harpley?
Harpley is in England, so the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003 cover your label, together with the general food information rules. Health claims have to come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
Printed pouches for Harpley brands
Printed pouches look more premium than a labelled stock pouch and save the time of applying labels. Digital printing means short runs per design, so you don’t need to commit to tens of thousands of units. Zips, windows, tear notches and hang holes can all be added, in a matt, gloss or soft-touch finish. Still testing a product? Start with labels on stock pouches and switch later.

Supplement labelling rules for Harpley
Any food supplement sold from Harpley must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, regulated nationally by the Food Standards Agency. Locally, food labelling is enforced by the council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Norfolk.
The same label can be sold in Scotland and Wales, as Great Britain shares one set of supplement rules.
