Rules in Scotland
Labelling law for supplements from Kirriemuir
Products you sell from Kirriemuir must meet the Food Supplements (Scotland) Regulations 2003, under the oversight of Food Standards Scotland. In Angus, food labelling is enforced by council trading standards or environmental health staff.
Scotland has its own food regulator, but the supplement labelling rules match England and Wales, so one label works across Great Britain.
Start with our label requirements checklist, then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

Printed pouches for Kirriemuir brands
Printed pouches look more premium than a labelled stock pouch and save the time of applying labels. Digital printing means short runs per design, so you don’t need to commit to tens of thousands of units. Zips, windows, tear notches and hang holes can all be added, with matt, gloss or soft-touch finishes. Still testing a product? Begin with labels on stock pouches and switch later.

Questions from Kirriemuir brands
Can I see a sample before ordering?
Yes. Request a sample pack and we’ll send it to you in Kirriemuir, so you can feel the materials and finishes.
Do you only work with Kirriemuir businesses?
No. We work online and deliver across the UK, so it makes no difference where you’re based. Kirriemuir deliveries go out by tracked courier to DD8.
How long do printed pouches take to reach Kirriemuir?
Pouches take longer to make than labels: we confirm the lead time with your quote, then delivery to Kirriemuir is usually the next working day after dispatch.
Can I add a zip or window to the pouch?
You can choose: resealable zips, tear notches, hang holes and clear windows, in a matt, gloss or soft-touch finish.
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We check against both sets of rules. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so health claims must be on the EU register and the address must work for that market. Tell us where you sell and we’ll check the label for each market.
