Knowle questions
Do you offer recyclable pouches?
Mono-material pouches are available, designed for recycling where collection exists. Check the spec before putting a recycling claim on the pack.
What if I sell in Northern Ireland too?
We can check for both. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so health claims must be on the EU register and the address must be in NI or the EU. Let us know where your products go and we’ll check the label for each market.
Do you send samples?
Yes, we can. Ask for a sample pack and we’ll send it to you in Knowle, showing our materials and finishes.
Can pouches have a zip and window?
Yes: resealable zips, tear notches, hang holes and clear windows, in a matt, gloss or soft-touch finish.
Do you only work with Knowle businesses?
No. We take orders online from anywhere in the UK, so it makes no difference where you’re based. Knowle deliveries go out by tracked delivery to SY8.
Printed pouches for Knowle brands
When a product is selling steadily, a printed pouch is often the next step from labels. We print your design directly onto the pouch, with the same compliance check as our labels. Resealable zips, clear windows and tear notches are all available, in a matt, gloss or soft-touch finish. Still testing a product? Begin with labels on stock pouches and switch later.

Rules in England
Labelling law for supplements from Knowle
Any food supplement sold from Knowle must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, overseen by the Food Standards Agency. In Shropshire, food labelling is enforced by the council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Shropshire.
The same label can be sold in Scotland and Wales, since the supplement rules are the same across Great Britain.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, then review your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.
