Laggan questions
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Laggan?
Laggan is in Scotland, so the Food Supplements (Scotland) Regulations 2003 apply, together with the general food information rules. Health claims must come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
Can I add a zip or window to the pouch?
Yes: zips, tear notches, hang holes and windows, in matt, gloss or soft-touch.
What’s the lead time for pouches to Laggan?
Printed pouches take longer than labels: we confirm the lead time with your quote, then delivery to Laggan is usually two working days after dispatch.
Do you offer recyclable pouches?
Mono-material pouches are available, designed for recycling where collection exists. Check the spec before putting a recycling claim on the pack.
Who enforces food labelling in Highland?
Supplement labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Highland, with national oversight from Food Standards Scotland. For advice councils must respect, you can set up a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
Printed pouches for Laggan brands
Printed pouches look more premium than a labelled stock pouch and save the time of applying labels. Digital printing means short runs per design, so you don’t need to commit to tens of thousands of units. Resealable zips, clear windows and tear notches are all available, with matt, gloss or soft-touch finishes. Not ready for a printed run? Begin with labels on stock pouches and switch later.

Scotland has its own food regulator, but the supplement labelling rules match England and Wales, so one label works across Great Britain.
Start with our label requirements checklist, and then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.
