Common questions in Launceston
Who checks supplement labels in Cornwall?
Food labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Cornwall, with national oversight from the Food Standards Agency. For advice councils must respect, you can set up a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
How long do printed pouches take to reach Launceston?
Printed pouches take longer than labels: your quote includes the lead time, then delivery to Launceston is usually the next working day after dispatch.
Do you send samples?
Yes, we can. Ask for a sample pack and we’ll post it to your Launceston address, showing our materials and finishes.
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Launceston?
Launceston is in England, so the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003 apply, alongside the general food information rules. Health claims have to come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We can check for both. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so health claims must be on the EU register and the address must be in NI or the EU. Tell us where you sell and we’ll check the label for each market.
Printed pouches for Launceston brands
When a product is selling steadily, a printed pouch is often the next step from labels. We print your design directly onto the pouch, with the same compliance check as our labels. Still testing a product? Begin with labels on stock pouches and move to printed pouches once it sells. Zips, windows, tear notches and hang holes are all available, with matt, gloss or soft-touch finishes.
