FAQs for Lydgate
Do you send samples?
Yes. Request a sample pack and we’ll post it to your Lydgate address, showing our materials and finishes before you order.
Do I need to be based in Lydgate to order?
No. We take orders online from anywhere in the UK, so your location doesn’t matter. Lydgate orders go out by tracked courier to HD9.
What’s the lead time for pouches to Lydgate?
Printed pouches take longer than labels: your quote includes the lead time, then delivery to Lydgate is usually the next working day after dispatch.
What if I sell in Northern Ireland too?
We can check for both. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must be in NI or the EU. Tell us where you sell and we’ll cover both.
Can pouches have a zip and window?
You can choose: zips, tear notches, hang holes and windows, in matt, gloss or soft-touch.
Printed pouches for Lydgate brands
When a product is selling steadily, a printed pouch is often the next step from labels. We print your design directly onto the pouch, with the same compliance check as our labels. Still testing a product? Begin with labels on stock pouches and switch later. Zips, windows, tear notches and hang holes can all be added, with matt, gloss or soft-touch finishes.

Rules in England
Labelling law for supplements from Lydgate
Any food supplement sold from Lydgate must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, under the oversight of the Food Standards Agency. In Kirklees, food labelling is enforced by council trading standards or environmental health staff.
You can sell the same label in Scotland and Wales, since the supplement rules are the same across Great Britain.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, and then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.
