Questions from Metcombe brands
What’s the lead time for pouches to Metcombe?
Pouches take longer to make than labels: your quote includes the lead time, then delivery to Metcombe is usually the next working day after dispatch.
Who enforces food labelling in Devon?
Food labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Devon, with national oversight from the Food Standards Agency. If you want assured advice, you can set up a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Metcombe?
Metcombe is in England, so the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003 apply, together with the general food information rules. Health claims must come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
Can pouches have a zip and window?
Yes: resealable zips, tear notches, hang holes and clear windows, in a matt, gloss or soft-touch finish.
How many pouches do I need to order?
Minimums depend on the pouch size and finish, and we quote them per design. For small quantities, use labels on stock pouches.
Printed pouches for Metcombe brands
Printed pouches look more premium than a labelled stock pouch and save the time of applying labels. Digital printing means short runs per design, so you don’t need to commit to tens of thousands of units. Still testing a product? Start with labels on stock pouches and move to printed pouches once it sells. Zips, windows, tear notches and hang holes can all be added, in a matt, gloss or soft-touch finish.
