Morton questions
Can pouches have a zip and window?
You can choose: resealable zips, tear notches, hang holes and clear windows, in matt, gloss or soft-touch.
How many pouches do I need to order?
It depends on the pouch size and finish, and we quote them per design. For a small first run, label stock pouches instead.
Can I see a sample before ordering?
Yes, we can. Ask for a sample pack and we’ll send it to you in Morton, showing our materials and finishes.
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Morton?
Morton is in England, so the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003 apply, together with the general food information rules. Health claims have to come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
What if I sell in Northern Ireland too?
We check against both sets of rules. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must be in NI or the EU. Tell us where you sell and we’ll cover both.
Printed pouches for Morton brands
When a product is selling steadily, a printed pouch is often the next step from labels. We print your design directly onto the pouch, with the same compliance check as our labels. Not ready for a printed run? Begin with labels on stock pouches and move to printed pouches once it sells. Zips, windows, tear notches and hang holes can all be added, with matt, gloss or soft-touch finishes.

Rules in England
Labelling law for supplements from Morton
Products you sell from Morton must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, regulated nationally by the Food Standards Agency. In Derbyshire, food labelling is enforced by the council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Derbyshire.
The same label can be sold in Scotland and Wales, since the supplement rules are the same across Great Britain.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, then review your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.
