Rules in Scotland
Labelling law for supplements from Nether Dallachy
Any food supplement sold from Nether Dallachy must meet the Food Supplements (Scotland) Regulations 2003, under the oversight of Food Standards Scotland. In Moray, food labelling is enforced by the council’s trading standards or environmental health team.
Scotland has its own food regulator, but the supplement labelling rules match England and Wales, so one label works across Great Britain.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, and then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

Common questions in Nether Dallachy
Can I see a sample before ordering?
Yes, we can. Request a sample pack and we’ll post it to your Nether Dallachy address, so you can feel the materials and finishes.
How many pouches do I need to order?
It depends on the pouch size and finish, and we quote them per design. For small quantities, use labels on stock pouches.
Who checks supplement labels in Moray?
Food labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Moray, with national oversight from Food Standards Scotland. If you want assured advice, you can set up a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
Do you only work with Nether Dallachy businesses?
No. We take orders online from anywhere in the UK, so your location doesn’t matter. Nether Dallachy deliveries go by tracked courier to IV32.
What if I sell in Northern Ireland too?
We can check for both. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so health claims must be on the EU register and the address must be in NI or the EU. Tell us where you sell and we’ll check the label for each market.
