FAQs for Northam
Do I need to be based in Northam to order?
No. We work online and deliver across the UK, so it makes no difference where you’re based. Northam orders go out by tracked delivery to EX39.
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Northam?
Northam is in England, so the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003 apply, together with the general food information rules. Health claims must come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
How many pouches do I need to order?
Minimums depend on the pouch size and finish, and we quote them per design. For a small first run, use labels on stock pouches.
Do you send samples?
Yes. Ask for a sample pack and we’ll post it to your Northam address, so you can feel the materials and finishes.
What if I sell in Northern Ireland too?
We can check for both. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so health claims must be on the EU register and the address must work for that market. Tell us where you sell and we’ll cover both.
Printed pouches for Northam brands
Printed pouches look more premium than a labelled stock pouch and save the time of applying labels. Digital printing means short runs per design, so you don’t need to commit to tens of thousands of units. Zips, windows, tear notches and hang holes can all be added, with matt, gloss or soft-touch finishes. Not ready for a printed run? Start with labels on stock pouches and switch later.

Rules in England
Labelling law for supplements from Northam
Any food supplement sold from Northam must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, under the oversight of the Food Standards Agency. At a local level, food labelling is enforced by the council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Devon.
One label works across England, Scotland and Wales, since the supplement rules are the same across Great Britain.
Start with our label requirements checklist, then review your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.
