Common questions in School Aycliffe
Who checks supplement labels in County Durham?
Food labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for County Durham, overseen nationally by the Food Standards Agency. If you want assured advice, consider a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We can check for both. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must work for that market. Tell us where you sell and we’ll check the label for each market.
Do you only work with School Aycliffe businesses?
No. We take orders online from anywhere in the UK, so it makes no difference where you’re based. School Aycliffe orders go by tracked delivery to DL5.
Can pouches have a zip and window?
Yes: resealable zips, tear notches, hang holes and clear windows, in a matt, gloss or soft-touch finish.
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from School Aycliffe?
School Aycliffe is in England, so the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003 apply, together with the general food information rules. Health claims must come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
Printed pouches for School Aycliffe brands
Printed pouches look more premium than a labelled stock pouch and save the time of applying labels. Digital printing means short runs per design, so you don’t need to commit to tens of thousands of units. Still testing a product? Start with labels on stock pouches and switch later.
