Rules in Scotland
Labelling law for supplements from Staffin
Supplements sold from Staffin must meet the Food Supplements (Scotland) Regulations 2003, under the oversight of Food Standards Scotland. Locally, food labelling is enforced by the council’s trading standards or environmental health team.
Scotland has its own food regulator, but the supplement labelling rules match England and Wales, so one label works across Great Britain.
Begin with our label requirements checklist, and then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.
