Stichill questions
Do I need to be based in Stichill to order?
No. We take orders online from anywhere in the UK, so it makes no difference where you’re based. Stichill deliveries go by tracked delivery to TD5.
Can pouches have a zip and window?
Yes: zips, tear notches, hang holes and windows, in a matt, gloss or soft-touch finish.
How long do printed pouches take to reach Stichill?
Pouches take longer to make than labels: your quote includes the lead time, then delivery to Stichill is usually the next working day after dispatch.
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Stichill?
Stichill is in Scotland, so the Food Supplements (Scotland) Regulations 2003 apply, as well as the general food information rules. Health claims must come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We check against both sets of rules. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so health claims must be on the EU register and the address must work for that market. Tell us where you sell and we’ll check the label for each market.
Printed pouches for Stichill brands
When a product is selling steadily, a printed pouch is often the next step from labels. We print your design directly onto the pouch, with the same compliance check as our labels. Not ready for a printed run? Start with labels on stock pouches and switch later. Resealable zips, clear windows and tear notches can all be added, in a matt, gloss or soft-touch finish.

Label rules that apply in Stichill
Supplements sold from Stichill must meet the Food Supplements (Scotland) Regulations 2003, under the oversight of Food Standards Scotland. At a local level, food labelling is enforced by council trading standards or environmental health staff for the Scottish Borders.
Scotland has its own food regulator, but the supplement labelling rules match England and Wales, so one label works across Great Britain.
Begin with our label requirements checklist, and then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.
