Tunstead Milton questions
Who checks supplement labels in Derbyshire?
Supplement labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Derbyshire, with national oversight from the Food Standards Agency. For advice councils must respect, consider a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Tunstead Milton?
Tunstead Milton is in England, so the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003 cover your label, together with the general food information rules. Health claims must come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
What’s the minimum order for printed pouches?
It depends on the pouch size and finish, and we quote them per design. For a small first run, use labels on stock pouches.
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We check against both sets of rules. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must be in NI or the EU. Let us know where your products go and we’ll check the label for each market.
Can pouches have a zip and window?
You can choose: zips, tear notches, hang holes and windows, in matt, gloss or soft-touch.
Printed pouches for Tunstead Milton brands
Printed pouches look more premium than a labelled stock pouch and save the time of applying labels. Digital printing means short runs per design, so you don’t need to commit to tens of thousands of units. Zips, windows, tear notches and hang holes can all be added, in a matt, gloss or soft-touch finish. Still testing a product? Start with labels on stock pouches and switch later.
