Questions from Westhumble brands
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We check against both sets of rules. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must work for that market. Let us know where your products go and we’ll cover both.
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Westhumble?
Westhumble is in England, so the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003 cover your label, alongside the general food information rules. Health claims must come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
Do you send samples?
Yes. Ask for a sample pack and we’ll post it to your Westhumble address, so you can feel the materials and finishes.
Are the pouches recyclable?
Mono-material pouches are available, designed for recycling where collection exists. Check the spec before putting a recycling claim on the pack.
Can I add a zip or window to the pouch?
You can choose: zips, tear notches, hang holes and windows, in matt, gloss or soft-touch.
Printed pouches for Westhumble brands
When a product is selling steadily, a printed pouch is often the next step from labels. We print your design directly onto the pouch, with the same compliance check as our labels. Zips, windows, tear notches and hang holes can all be added, with matt, gloss or soft-touch finishes. Still testing a product? Start with labels on stock pouches and move to printed pouches once it sells.

Rules in England
Supplement labelling rules for Westhumble
Products you sell from Westhumble must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, overseen by the Food Standards Agency. At a local level, food labelling is enforced by council trading standards or environmental health staff.
The same label can be sold in Scotland and Wales, because the supplement rules match across Great Britain.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, then review your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.
