Questions from Whitwell brands
Do you offer recyclable pouches?
Mono-material pouches are available, designed for recycling where collection exists. Check the specification before you make any claim on pack.
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Whitwell?
Whitwell is in England, so the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003 apply, as well as the general food information rules. Health claims must come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We can check for both. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must work for that market. Tell us where you sell and we’ll check the label for each market.
Do you only work with Whitwell businesses?
No. We work online and deliver across the UK, so it makes no difference where you’re based. Whitwell orders go out by tracked courier to LE15.
Who checks supplement labels in Rutland?
Food labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Rutland, overseen nationally by the Food Standards Agency. If you want assured advice, consider a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
Printed pouches for Whitwell brands
Printed pouches look more premium than a labelled stock pouch and save the time of applying labels. Digital printing means short runs per design, so you don’t need to commit to tens of thousands of units. Not ready for a printed run? Start with labels on stock pouches and move to printed pouches once it sells. Zips, windows, tear notches and hang holes can all be added, with matt, gloss or soft-touch finishes.
