Common questions in Wigton
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Wigton?
Wigton is in England, so the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003 cover your label, together with the general food information rules. Health claims have to come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
Do you send samples?
Yes, we can. Ask for a sample pack and we’ll send it to you in Wigton, so you can feel the materials and finishes.
What’s the minimum order for printed pouches?
It depends on the pouch size and finish, and we quote them per design. For small quantities, label stock pouches instead.
Who checks supplement labels in Cumbria?
Food labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Cumbria, overseen nationally by the Food Standards Agency. For advice councils must respect, you can set up a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We check against both sets of rules. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must work for that market. Let us know where your products go and we’ll check the label for each market.

When a product is selling steadily, a printed pouch is often the next step from labels. We print your design directly onto the pouch, with the same compliance check as our labels. Zips, windows, tear notches and hang holes are all available, with matt, gloss or soft-touch finishes. Still testing a product? Start with labels on stock pouches and switch later.
