Rules in England
Labelling law for supplements from Wisley
Products you sell from Wisley must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, under the oversight of the Food Standards Agency. In Surrey, food labelling is enforced by the local authority’s trading standards or environmental health officers.
The same label can be sold in Scotland and Wales, because the supplement rules match across Great Britain.
Start with our label requirements checklist, and then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

Printed pouches for Wisley brands
Printed pouches look more premium than a labelled stock pouch and save the time of applying labels. Digital printing means short runs per design, so you don’t need to commit to tens of thousands of units. Zips, windows, tear notches and hang holes can all be added, in a matt, gloss or soft-touch finish. Still testing a product? Start with labels on stock pouches and move to printed pouches once it sells.

Wisley questions
Who enforces food labelling in Surrey?
Food labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Surrey, overseen nationally by the Food Standards Agency. If you want assured advice, consider a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
Do you offer recyclable pouches?
Mono-material pouches are available, designed for recycling where collection exists. Check the spec before putting a recycling claim on the pack.
What if I sell in Northern Ireland too?
We can check for both. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must work for that market. Let us know where your products go and we’ll check the label for each market.
Do I need to be based in Wisley to order?
No. We work online and deliver across the UK, so it makes no difference where you’re based. Wisley orders go out by tracked courier to GU23.
What’s the minimum order for printed pouches?
It depends on the pouch size and finish, and we quote them per design. For a small first run, label stock pouches instead.
