Rules in England
Labelling law for supplements from Woolfardisworthy
Any food supplement sold from Woolfardisworthy must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, overseen by the Food Standards Agency. At a local level, food labelling is enforced by council trading standards or environmental health staff.
The same label can be sold in Scotland and Wales, since the supplement rules are the same across Great Britain.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, and then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

Printed pouches for Woolfardisworthy brands
When a product is selling steadily, a printed pouch is often the next step from labels. We print your design directly onto the pouch, with the same compliance check as our labels. Zips, windows, tear notches and hang holes are all available, in a matt, gloss or soft-touch finish. Still testing a product? Begin with labels on stock pouches and move to printed pouches once it sells.

Yes. Ask for a sample pack and we’ll send it to you in Woolfardisworthy, showing our materials and finishes before you order.
How long do printed pouches take to reach Woolfardisworthy?
Pouches take longer to make than labels: we confirm the lead time with your quote, then delivery to Woolfardisworthy is usually the next working day after dispatch.
Can pouches have a zip and window?
You can choose: zips, tear notches, hang holes and windows, in matt, gloss or soft-touch.
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We can check for both. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so health claims must be on the EU register and the address must be in NI or the EU. Let us know where your products go and we’ll cover both.
