Send us your label and we’ll tell you, in writing, what must change before it goes on sale from Nebo.

Nebo questions

Do you send samples?

Yes. Ask for a sample pack and we’ll send it to you in Nebo, showing our materials and finishes before you order.

Can you check a label that’s already printed?

We can still check them. If we find problems, we’ll tell you what must change now and what can wait for the next run.

Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Nebo?

Nebo is in Wales, so the Food Supplements (Wales) Regulations 2003 apply, alongside the general food information rules. Health claims must come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.

Do you only work with Nebo businesses?

No. We work online and deliver across the UK, so it makes no difference where you’re based. Nebo orders go out by tracked courier to LL54.

Is your check the same as a Trading Standards check?

No. Trading Standards for Gwynedd enforce labelling law; we give a practical second opinion before you print.

What the check covers for Nebo brands

Send your artwork or draft copy. We review it against the Food Supplements (Wales) Regulations 2003, the food information rules and the GB nutrition and health claims register, and send back a written report with every point marked as fine, advised or must fix. It’s a practical review, not legal advice. For assured advice, a Primary Authority partnership is the next step. The check covers any label, whoever designed or printed it, including ones from other printers.

Rules in Wales

Label rules that apply in Nebo

Any food supplement sold from Nebo must meet the Food Supplements (Wales) Regulations 2003, under the oversight of the Food Standards Agency in Wales. At a local level, food labelling is enforced by the local authority’s trading standards or environmental health officers.

Welsh-language text is optional on supplement labels. If you add it, both languages must be accurate and the mandatory text must still meet the 1.2 mm minimum x-height.
