Supplement label compliance check in Ram
Send us your label and we’ll tell you, in writing, what must change before it goes on sale from Ram.
What the check covers for Ram brands
We read your label line by line: the supplement statements, the nutrient table and %NRV maths, ingredients and allergens, claims, text size and traceability. You get a written report you can act on or pass to your designer. The check covers any label, whoever designed or printed it, including ones from other printers. It’s a practical review, not legal advice. For assured advice, a Primary Authority partnership is the next step.

Rules in Wales
Labelling law for supplements from Ram
Any food supplement sold from Ram must meet the Food Supplements (Wales) Regulations 2003, regulated nationally by the Food Standards Agency in Wales. At a local level, food labelling is enforced by the local authority’s trading standards or environmental health officers.
Welsh-language text is optional on supplement labels. If you add it, both languages must be accurate and the mandatory text must still meet the 1.2 mm minimum x-height.
Begin with our label requirements checklist, and then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

Ram questions
What does the report look like?
A written, point-by-point report, with every point marked fine, advised or must fix, with suggested wording where needed.
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Ram?
Ram is in Wales, so the Food Supplements (Wales) Regulations 2003 cover your label, as well as the general food information rules. Health claims must come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
Can you check a label that’s already printed?
We can still check them. If we find problems, we’ll tell you which are urgent and which can wait for your next print run.
Do I need to be based in Ram to order?
No. We work online and deliver across the UK, so it makes no difference where you’re based. Ram orders go out by tracked delivery to SA48.
What if I sell in Northern Ireland too?
We can check for both. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must work for that market. Tell us where you sell and we’ll check the label for each market.
