Rules in Scotland
Labelling law for supplements from Aberargie
Any food supplement sold from Aberargie must meet the Food Supplements (Scotland) Regulations 2003, regulated nationally by Food Standards Scotland. At a local level, food labelling is enforced by council trading standards or environmental health staff.
Scotland has its own food regulator, but the supplement labelling rules match England and Wales, so one label works across Great Britain.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, then review your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

Printed pouches for Aberargie brands
Printed pouches look more premium than a labelled stock pouch and save the time of applying labels. Digital printing means short runs per design, so you don’t need to commit to tens of thousands of units. Not ready for a printed run? Begin with labels on stock pouches and move to printed pouches once it sells. Resealable zips, clear windows and tear notches can all be added, in a matt, gloss or soft-touch finish.

Common questions in Aberargie
How long do printed pouches take to reach Aberargie?
Pouches take longer to make than labels: your quote includes the lead time, then delivery to Aberargie is usually the next working day after dispatch.
How many pouches do I need to order?
It depends on the pouch size and finish, and we quote them per design. For a small first run, label stock pouches instead.
Do you send samples?
Yes. Ask for a sample pack and we’ll post it to your Aberargie address, so you can feel the materials and finishes.
Do I need to be based in Aberargie to order?
No. We take orders online from anywhere in the UK, so it makes no difference where you’re based. Aberargie orders go by tracked delivery to PH2.
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We can check for both. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must work for that market. Tell us where you sell and we’ll check the label for each market.
