Airdrie questions
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Airdrie?
Airdrie is in Scotland, so the Food Supplements (Scotland) Regulations 2003 apply, as well as the general food information rules. Health claims must come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
Do you offer recyclable pouches?
We offer mono-material pouches, designed for recycling where collection exists. Check the spec before putting a recycling claim on the pack.
Who checks supplement labels in North Lanarkshire?
Supplement labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for North Lanarkshire, with national oversight from Food Standards Scotland. If you want assured advice, you can set up a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
How many pouches do I need to order?
It depends on the pouch size and finish, and we quote them per design. For a small first run, use labels on stock pouches.
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We check against both sets of rules. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so health claims must be on the EU register and the address must be in NI or the EU. Let us know where your products go and we’ll check the label for each market.
Printed pouches for Airdrie brands
When a product is selling steadily, a printed pouch is often the next step from labels. We print your design directly onto the pouch, with the same compliance check as our labels. Still testing a product? Begin with labels on stock pouches and switch later. Resealable zips, clear windows and tear notches are all available, in a matt, gloss or soft-touch finish.
