FAQs for Barbaraville
Who enforces food labelling in Highland?
Supplement labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Highland, with national oversight from Food Standards Scotland. If you want assured advice, you can set up a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
What’s the minimum order for printed pouches?
It depends on the pouch size and finish, and we quote them per design. For small quantities, label stock pouches instead.
Do you send samples?
Yes, we can. Ask for a sample pack and we’ll post it to your Barbaraville address, showing our materials and finishes.
Do you only work with Barbaraville businesses?
No. We take orders online from anywhere in the UK, so your location doesn’t matter. Barbaraville orders go by tracked delivery to IV18.
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We check against both sets of rules. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must work for that market. Tell us where you sell and we’ll cover both.
Printed pouches for Barbaraville brands
Printed pouches look more premium than a labelled stock pouch and save the time of applying labels. Digital printing means short runs per design, so you don’t need to commit to tens of thousands of units. Zips, windows, tear notches and hang holes are all available, with matt, gloss or soft-touch finishes. Still testing a product? Begin with labels on stock pouches and move to printed pouches once it sells.

Supplement labelling rules for Barbaraville
Supplements sold from Barbaraville must meet the Food Supplements (Scotland) Regulations 2003, under the oversight of Food Standards Scotland. At a local level, food labelling is enforced by the council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Highland.
Scotland has its own food regulator, but the supplement labelling rules match England and Wales, so one label works across Great Britain.
Start with our label requirements checklist, then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.
