Barnstaple questions
What’s the minimum order for printed pouches?
Minimums depend on the pouch size and finish, and we quote them per design. For a small first run, label stock pouches instead.
What if I sell in Northern Ireland too?
We check against both sets of rules. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must work for that market. Let us know where your products go and we’ll cover both.
Can I see a sample before ordering?
Yes, we can. Ask for a sample pack and we’ll post it to your Barnstaple address, so you can feel the materials and finishes before you order.
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Barnstaple?
Barnstaple is in England, so the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003 cover your label, as well as the general food information rules. Health claims have to come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
How long do printed pouches take to reach Barnstaple?
Pouches take longer to make than labels: we confirm the lead time with your quote, then delivery to Barnstaple is usually the next working day after dispatch.
Printed pouches for Barnstaple brands
Printed pouches look more premium than a labelled stock pouch and save the time of applying labels. Digital printing means short runs per design, so you don’t need to commit to tens of thousands of units. Resealable zips, clear windows and tear notches can all be added, in a matt, gloss or soft-touch finish. Still testing a product? Begin with labels on stock pouches and switch later.

Rules in England
Labelling law for supplements from Barnstaple
Supplements sold from Barnstaple must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, regulated nationally by the Food Standards Agency. At a local level, food labelling is enforced by the council’s trading standards or environmental health team.
One label works across England, Scotland and Wales, because the supplement rules match across Great Britain.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, then review your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.
