Questions from Barrhill brands
How long do printed pouches take to reach Barrhill?
Pouches take longer to make than labels: your quote includes the lead time, then delivery to Barrhill is usually the next working day after dispatch.
Can I add a zip or window to the pouch?
You can choose: zips, tear notches, hang holes and windows, in a matt, gloss or soft-touch finish.
Can I see a sample before ordering?
Yes. Ask for a sample pack and we’ll send it to you in Barrhill, so you can feel the materials and finishes before you order.
What if I sell in Northern Ireland too?
We check against both sets of rules. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must work for that market. Let us know where your products go and we’ll check the label for each market.
What’s the minimum order for printed pouches?
Minimums depend on the pouch size and finish, and we quote them per design. For a small first run, use labels on stock pouches.
Printed pouches for Barrhill brands
When a product is selling steadily, a printed pouch is often the next step from labels. We print your design directly onto the pouch, with the same compliance check as our labels. Resealable zips, clear windows and tear notches can all be added, with matt, gloss or soft-touch finishes. Still testing a product? Begin with labels on stock pouches and move to printed pouches once it sells.

Rules in Scotland
Supplement labelling rules for Barrhill
Supplements sold from Barrhill must meet the Food Supplements (Scotland) Regulations 2003, under the oversight of Food Standards Scotland. Locally, food labelling is enforced by the council’s trading standards or environmental health team for South Ayrshire.
Scotland has its own food regulator, but the supplement labelling rules match England and Wales, so one label works across Great Britain.
Start with our label requirements checklist, then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.
