FAQs for Bontnewydd
Who checks supplement labels in Gwynedd?
Food labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Gwynedd, overseen nationally by the Food Standards Agency in Wales. For advice councils must respect, consider a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Bontnewydd?
Bontnewydd is in Wales, so the Food Supplements (Wales) Regulations 2003 apply, alongside the general food information rules. Health claims must come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
What’s the lead time for pouches to Bontnewydd?
Printed pouches take longer than labels: your quote includes the lead time, then delivery to Bontnewydd is usually the next working day after dispatch.
Can pouches have a zip and window?
Yes: resealable zips, tear notches, hang holes and clear windows, in a matt, gloss or soft-touch finish.
What if I sell in Northern Ireland too?
We check against both sets of rules. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must be in NI or the EU. Tell us where you sell and we’ll cover both.
