Common questions in Bosham
Who checks supplement labels in West Sussex?
Supplement labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for West Sussex, with national oversight from the Food Standards Agency. If you want assured advice, you can set up a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
How many pouches do I need to order?
It depends on the pouch size and finish, and we quote them per design. For small quantities, label stock pouches instead.
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Bosham?
Bosham is in England, so the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003 cover your label, alongside the general food information rules. Health claims have to come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We can check for both. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so health claims must be on the EU register and the address must be in NI or the EU. Let us know where your products go and we’ll cover both.
Do I need to be based in Bosham to order?
No. We work online and deliver across the UK, so your location doesn’t matter. Bosham deliveries go by tracked courier to PO18.
Printed pouches for Bosham brands
Printed pouches look more premium than a labelled stock pouch and save the time of applying labels. Digital printing means short runs per design, so you don’t need to commit to tens of thousands of units. Not ready for a printed run? Begin with labels on stock pouches and move to printed pouches once it sells. Zips, windows, tear notches and hang holes can all be added, in a matt, gloss or soft-touch finish.

You can sell the same label in Scotland and Wales, as Great Britain shares one set of supplement rules.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, and then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.
