Common questions in Bourne
Who enforces food labelling in Lincolnshire?
Supplement labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Lincolnshire, overseen nationally by the Food Standards Agency. For advice councils must respect, consider a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
Can I add a zip or window to the pouch?
Yes: resealable zips, tear notches, hang holes and clear windows, in matt, gloss or soft-touch.
What’s the minimum order for printed pouches?
Minimums depend on the pouch size and finish, and we quote them per design. For small quantities, use labels on stock pouches.
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We check against both sets of rules. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must work for that market. Let us know where your products go and we’ll cover both.
Do you send samples?
Yes, we can. Request a sample pack and we’ll send it to you in Bourne, so you can feel the materials and finishes.
Printed pouches for Bourne brands
Printed pouches look more premium than a labelled stock pouch and save the time of applying labels. Digital printing means short runs per design, so you don’t need to commit to tens of thousands of units. Still testing a product? Start with labels on stock pouches and switch later. Zips, windows, tear notches and hang holes are all available, in a matt, gloss or soft-touch finish.
