Crick questions
Who enforces food labelling in Monmouthshire?
Food labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Monmouthshire, with national oversight from the Food Standards Agency in Wales. If you want assured advice, you can set up a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We check against both sets of rules. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so health claims must be on the EU register and the address must work for that market. Let us know where your products go and we’ll check the label for each market.
Do you only work with Crick businesses?
No. We work online and deliver across the UK, so it makes no difference where you’re based. Crick orders go by tracked courier to NP26.
What’s the lead time for pouches to Crick?
Pouches take longer to make than labels: your quote includes the lead time, then delivery to Crick is usually the next working day after dispatch.
Can I add a zip or window to the pouch?
You can choose: resealable zips, tear notches, hang holes and clear windows, in a matt, gloss or soft-touch finish.
Printed pouches for Crick brands
When a product is selling steadily, a printed pouch is often the next step from labels. We print your design directly onto the pouch, with the same compliance check as our labels. Still testing a product? Begin with labels on stock pouches and move to printed pouches once it sells. Resealable zips, clear windows and tear notches can all be added, in a matt, gloss or soft-touch finish.
