Drimlabarra questions
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Drimlabarra?
Drimlabarra is in Scotland, so the Food Supplements (Scotland) Regulations 2003 cover your label, together with the general food information rules. Health claims have to come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
What if I sell in Northern Ireland too?
We check against both sets of rules. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so health claims must be on the EU register and the address must be in NI or the EU. Tell us where you sell and we’ll check the label for each market.
What’s the minimum order for printed pouches?
It depends on the pouch size and finish, and we quote them per design. For a small first run, use labels on stock pouches.
Do you offer recyclable pouches?
We offer mono-material pouches, designed for recycling where collection exists. Check the specification before you make any claim on pack.
Who checks supplement labels in North Ayrshire?
Supplement labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for North Ayrshire, overseen nationally by Food Standards Scotland. For advice councils must respect, consider a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
Printed pouches for Drimlabarra brands
Printed pouches look more premium than a labelled stock pouch and save the time of applying labels. Digital printing means short runs per design, so you don’t need to commit to tens of thousands of units. Zips, windows, tear notches and hang holes can all be added, in a matt, gloss or soft-touch finish. Still testing a product? Start with labels on stock pouches and move to printed pouches once it sells.
