Labelling law for supplements from Eglwys-Brewis

Welsh-language text is optional on supplement labels. If you add it, both languages must be accurate and the mandatory text must still meet the 1.2 mm minimum x-height.

Printed pouches for Eglwys-Brewis brands
Printed pouches look more premium than a labelled stock pouch and save the time of applying labels. Digital printing means short runs per design, so you don’t need to commit to tens of thousands of units. Resealable zips, clear windows and tear notches are all available, in a matt, gloss or soft-touch finish. Still testing a product? Begin with labels on stock pouches and switch later.

Common questions in Eglwys-Brewis
What’s the minimum order for printed pouches?
Minimums depend on the pouch size and finish, and we quote them per design. For small quantities, label stock pouches instead.
Who checks supplement labels in the Vale of Glamorgan?
Supplement labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for the Vale of Glamorgan, overseen nationally by the Food Standards Agency in Wales. For advice councils must respect, consider a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
How long do printed pouches take to reach Eglwys-Brewis?
Printed pouches take longer than labels: your quote includes the lead time, then delivery to Eglwys-Brewis is usually the next working day after dispatch.
Do you offer recyclable pouches?
Mono-material pouches are available, designed for recycling where collection exists. Check the spec before putting a recycling claim on the pack.
What if I sell in Northern Ireland too?
We can check for both. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so health claims must be on the EU register and the address must work for that market. Let us know where your products go and we’ll cover both.
