Folke questions
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Folke?
Folke is in England, so the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003 cover your label, together with the general food information rules. Health claims must come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
Do I need to be based in Folke to order?
No. We work online and deliver across the UK, so your location doesn’t matter. Folke orders go by tracked courier to DT9.
Who checks supplement labels in Dorset?
Food labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Dorset, overseen nationally by the Food Standards Agency. For advice councils must respect, consider a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
Are the pouches recyclable?
Mono-material pouches are available, designed for recycling where collection exists. Check the spec before putting a recycling claim on the pack.
What if I sell in Northern Ireland too?
We check against both sets of rules. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must work for that market. Let us know where your products go and we’ll cover both.
Printed pouches for Folke brands
Printed pouches look more premium than a labelled stock pouch and save the time of applying labels. Digital printing means short runs per design, so you don’t need to commit to tens of thousands of units. Zips, windows, tear notches and hang holes are all available, with matt, gloss or soft-touch finishes. Still testing a product? Start with labels on stock pouches and switch later.

The same label can be sold in Scotland and Wales, because the supplement rules match across Great Britain.
Begin with our label requirements checklist, and then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.
