Rules in England
Labelling law for supplements from Greatworth
Any food supplement sold from Greatworth must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, overseen by the Food Standards Agency. In Northamptonshire, food labelling is enforced by the council’s trading standards or environmental health team.
One label works across England, Scotland and Wales, because the supplement rules match across Great Britain.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, and then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

Printed pouches for Greatworth brands
Printed pouches look more premium than a labelled stock pouch and save the time of applying labels. Digital printing means short runs per design, so you don’t need to commit to tens of thousands of units. Still testing a product? Begin with labels on stock pouches and switch later. Resealable zips, clear windows and tear notches can all be added, with matt, gloss or soft-touch finishes.

Common questions in Greatworth
Do you offer recyclable pouches?
Mono-material pouches are available, designed for recycling where collection exists. Check the spec before putting a recycling claim on the pack.
What’s the minimum order for printed pouches?
It depends on the pouch size and finish, and we quote them per design. For small quantities, use labels on stock pouches.
Do you only work with Greatworth businesses?
No. We work online and deliver across the UK, so your location doesn’t matter. Greatworth orders go by tracked courier to OX17.
Who enforces food labelling in Northamptonshire?
Supplement labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Northamptonshire, with national oversight from the Food Standards Agency. If you want assured advice, consider a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We check against both sets of rules. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must work for that market. Tell us where you sell and we’ll cover both.
