Questions from Icklesham brands
Who enforces food labelling in East Sussex?
Supplement labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for East Sussex, with national oversight from the Food Standards Agency. For advice councils must respect, you can set up a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
How many pouches do I need to order?
It depends on the pouch size and finish, and we quote them per design. For small quantities, use labels on stock pouches.
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We can check for both. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so health claims must be on the EU register and the address must be in NI or the EU. Tell us where you sell and we’ll cover both.
Do you offer recyclable pouches?
We offer mono-material pouches, designed for recycling where collection exists. Check the specification before you make any claim on pack.
Can I see a sample before ordering?
Yes, we can. Request a sample pack and we’ll send it to you in Icklesham, showing our materials and finishes.
Printed pouches for Icklesham brands
When a product is selling steadily, a printed pouch is often the next step from labels. We print your design directly onto the pouch, with the same compliance check as our labels. Still testing a product? Start with labels on stock pouches and switch later. Resealable zips, clear windows and tear notches can all be added, in a matt, gloss or soft-touch finish.

You can sell the same label in Scotland and Wales, because the supplement rules match across Great Britain.
