Keir Mill questions
Can pouches have a zip and window?
Yes: resealable zips, tear notches, hang holes and clear windows, in matt, gloss or soft-touch.
How many pouches do I need to order?
Minimums depend on the pouch size and finish, and we quote them per design. For a small first run, use labels on stock pouches.
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Keir Mill?
Keir Mill is in Scotland, so the Food Supplements (Scotland) Regulations 2003 cover your label, together with the general food information rules. Health claims have to come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
What if I sell in Northern Ireland too?
We can check for both. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must be in NI or the EU. Tell us where you sell and we’ll cover both.
Who checks supplement labels in Dumfries and Galloway?
Supplement labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Dumfries and Galloway, with national oversight from Food Standards Scotland. If you want assured advice, you can set up a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
Printed pouches for Keir Mill brands
Printed pouches look more premium than a labelled stock pouch and save the time of applying labels. Digital printing means short runs per design, so you don’t need to commit to tens of thousands of units. Not ready for a printed run? Start with labels on stock pouches and switch later.
