Questions from Keymer brands
Who checks supplement labels in West Sussex?
Food labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for West Sussex, with national oversight from the Food Standards Agency. If you want assured advice, you can set up a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
What’s the minimum order for printed pouches?
It depends on the pouch size and finish, and we quote them per design. For a small first run, use labels on stock pouches.
Can I add a zip or window to the pouch?
You can choose: zips, tear notches, hang holes and windows, in a matt, gloss or soft-touch finish.
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We check against both sets of rules. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must work for that market. Tell us where you sell and we’ll check the label for each market.
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Keymer?
Keymer is in England, so the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003 apply, alongside the general food information rules. Health claims have to come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
Printed pouches for Keymer brands
Printed pouches look more premium than a labelled stock pouch and save the time of applying labels. Digital printing means short runs per design, so you don’t need to commit to tens of thousands of units. Still testing a product? Begin with labels on stock pouches and move to printed pouches once it sells. Resealable zips, clear windows and tear notches are all available, in a matt, gloss or soft-touch finish.
