Rules in England
Labelling law for supplements from Laxton
Supplements sold from Laxton must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, under the oversight of the Food Standards Agency. Locally, food labelling is enforced by the council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Nottinghamshire.
The same label can be sold in Scotland and Wales, because the supplement rules match across Great Britain.

Printed pouches for Laxton brands
Printed pouches look more premium than a labelled stock pouch and save the time of applying labels. Digital printing means short runs per design, so you don’t need to commit to tens of thousands of units. Not ready for a printed run? Begin with labels on stock pouches and switch later. Zips, windows, tear notches and hang holes are all available, in a matt, gloss or soft-touch finish.

Questions from Laxton brands
Are the pouches recyclable?
Mono-material pouches are available, designed for recycling where collection exists. Check the spec before putting a recycling claim on the pack.
Can I add a zip or window to the pouch?
You can choose: resealable zips, tear notches, hang holes and clear windows, in matt, gloss or soft-touch.
Do you send samples?
Yes. Ask for a sample pack and we’ll send it to you in Laxton, so you can feel the materials and finishes.
Do I need to be based in Laxton to order?
No. We take orders online from anywhere in the UK, so it makes no difference where you’re based. Laxton orders go out by tracked delivery to NG22.
What if I sell in Northern Ireland too?
We check against both sets of rules. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must be in NI or the EU. Tell us where you sell and we’ll cover both.
